Two Slashed During Fight In Times Square Subway Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - An early morning fight in the Times Square subway station sent two people to the hospital.
The brawl broke out at around 4:30 a.m. Friday. According to published reports, two men were approached by a group of five others. An argument started, and one in the group of five smashed a bottle over the head of one of the victims.
The attackers reportedly grabbed bits of the smashed bottle and punched and slashed the two victims.
A 24-year-old was slashed in the neck and arms, and a 33-year-old was cut in the face. They were both rushed to Bellevue. The younger man was in serious but stable condition.
A photo from the scene showed the handle of an exit turnstile covered in blood.
Police have a 22-year-old in custody, according to reports. They are hunting for the other four suspects.
