Two Religious Groups Launching Campaigns Against Anti-Jihad Ads
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Last month, following a court order, a controversial ad went up at 10 New York City Subway stations.

The ad said, "In any war between the civilized man and the savage support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad."
Now, two religious groups are striking back against the anti-Jihad ads by launching their own separate campaigns with a similar message.
"Love your Muslim neighbors," said Timothy King with the Christian social justice group Sojourners. The ad campaign out today is placed near the posters posted last month. "It's a simple message, but it's been at the heart of our belief for a few thousand years and we're going to stick with it."
"We think that there needs to be an alternative voice and an alternative perspective and people don't feel represented right now and unfortunately it's often times just the extremist views that are out there," he said. "I think if leave the public sphere and we leave the public voice to just the extremes, then a lot of people are going to be left out."
Rabbis for Human Rights is also launching a campaign with the message, "In the choice between love and hate, choose love."
"Even though we don't all believe the same thing, we can live in peace and love and respect with one another," King said.
