Two Men Help Rescue Woman From Hudson River In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two men are being credited with rescuing a woman from the Hudson River in Hoboken.

The Good Samaritans can been seen on cell phone video jumping into the Hudson to help a woman who had apparently jumped into the water, CBS 2 reported.

One of the men who jumped in to help is a broker on Wall Street, and said it appeared the woman couldn't swim very well, and that's when they realized they had to act fast.

"I saw a crowd starting and we didn't know what to do," the man said. "I said 'you're going with me right?' He said 'yea.' So I said 'Alright let's go, let's do it because I can't do it alone.' We got over to the wall and help came."

The FDNY Marine Unit helped rescue all three from the water, CBS 2 reported.

The crowd gave the Hoboken heroes a round of applause.

There is no word on why the woman jumped into the water.
