Two Arrested On Long Island After Reports Of Shots Fired
GREAT NECK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Two Long Island men were arrested following an altercation with a group of men Sunday night.
Nassau County police said officers responded to a report of shots fired at Susquehanna Avenue off South Middle Neck Road in Great Neck Sunday evening. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses told them that a man fired a gun and then fled with another man in a Honda Civic. Police found the suspects inside the car at a nearby parking garage.
Police said they found multiple bags of marijuana and a loaded automatic handgun in the car.
Police charged Kyle Howard of Westbury with criminal possession of marijuana. Rodney Jackson of Manhasset was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and reckless endangerment, according to the Long Island Press newspaper.
The men were scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
