TSA Agents Spot Passenger With Pen-Sized Stun Gun At JFK

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Stun guns are illegal in New York, so it's probably not a good idea trying to fly with one.

That's what the Transportation Security Administration said a man tried to do Monday at JFK International Airport.

TSA agents spotted the pen-sized stun gun in the man's checked luggage and called Port Authority Police, who confiscated the weapon and arrested the man on a weapons charge. Operations at the airport weren't impacted.

Weapons are not permitted in carry-on bags, and only some weapons are allowed to be transported in checked bags.
