'We Want Everyone To Come On Board': Trump Campaign Manager Says They Are Reaching Out To Sanders' Supporters
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Donald Trump campaign admits they are reaching out to Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters to come back the Republican front-runner.
Corey Lewandowski, Trump's campaign manager, revealed they are courting the senator's backers after being asked on CBSN Live if the billionaire is reaching out to Sanders' supporters.
"Sure, we want everyone to come on board. What we've seen is millions of more people have come out to vote in the Republican primary because of what Donald Trump has brought to this election process," Lewandowski said. "We've seen hundreds of thousands of people change their party registration in their respective states so they can vote in the Republican primary in those closed systems for Donald Trump."

Lewandowski said those supporters unhappy with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton should back Trump.
"The Republican primary numbers are way up, the Democrat numbers are way down, so if those people aren't happy with Hillary Clinton, they should absolutely come and join the Trump campaign," Lewandowski told CBSN Live.
Trump tweeted Tuesday before the primaries that Sanders should run as an independent.
"Bernie Sanders has been treated terribly by the Democrats – both with delegates & otherwise. He should show them, and run as an Independent!" Trump posted.
Trump crushed Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Tuesday night, sweeping the Republican primaries in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
CBS News' Major Garrett reported Trump should pick up between 90 to 105 delegates.
According to CBS News' latest tally, Trump has 929 of the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination. Cruz is second at 555, while Kasich has 147.
