NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The No. 4 train was disrupted in the Bronx late Wednesday afternoon, after a truck struck the elevated train structure and started a small fire.
The FDNY said the truck hit the elevated trestle at 213th Street and Jerome Avenue near the Woodlawn station during the 4 p.m. hour.
The accident sparked a fire and caused damage to components of the El structure, the FDNY said.
Following the accident, the No. 4 train was shut down between the Burnside Avenue and Woodlawn stops, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
The line was fully back in service by just before 8:30 p.m., but delays persisted.
