Truck Slams Into Overpass On FDR, Causes Major Delays
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A truck hit an overpass on the northbound Franklin D. Roosevelt East River Drive Wednesday evening, causing major delays for miles.
The truck, which was not supposed to be on the FDR, hit the overpass northbound at 63rd Street, CBS 2's Reggie Harrison reported from Chopper 2 HD.
As a result of the accident, traffic was backed up at least to the East 20s, Harrison reported.
There was no immediate information on possible traffic citations for the truck driver.
