Tri-State Stays Cold, But Sunny, For Sunday
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The winter simply does not want to leave the Tri-State as the weekend remains below freezing.
Temperatures hovered in the teens and 20s and hit 28 degrees around 7:30 a.m. That temperature will rise to a high of 41 by afternoon as the morning clouds take flight for a sunny Sunday.

There is some snow to the south of the Tri-State, but high pressure from the north will keep the snow from moving into the area.
The night will remain clear, but temperatures will drop back in the freezing marks by midnight.
Wind gusts will be between 10 and 15 mph, but those gusts will pick up on Monday, expected to reach up to 40 mph.
