Bitter Cold Temperatures Grip Tri-State Area
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It looks clear outside, but don't forget it's still winter. Temperatures will reach a high of only 29 Wednesday, far short of the normal 40.
"There will be no snow. It's just dangerously cold," said CBS 2HD meteorologist John Elliott.

There is a winter storm to the south, again, but unlike the other major storms to hit the Tri-State this season, this storm is expected to completely bypass our area.
"It passes to the south and then off to the east through tomorrow. So we finally miss a storm. We finally get a break. It's cold, but that's one of the reasons why we're missing this snow," Elliott said.
Temperatures are expected drop down to the upper teens on Wednesday night.
Some Brooklyn tenants claim that despite the bitter cold, their landlord shuts off heat in their building.
Thursday's high will only reach the upper 20s before getting a little bit warmer on Friday, which will see a high of 34.
