Tri-State Could Pick Up Additional 1 To 3 Inches Of Snow Wednesday Night
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Adding insult to injury, more snow is headed to our area.
While the system is not going to be anything like the blizzard that hit the Tri-State last Friday, 1 to 3 inches of accumulation is possible Wednesday night into Thursday.
AccuWeather said that sunshine will be followed by clouds with a mix of rain and wet snow by the end of the day on Wednesday.
Wet snow will fall Wednesday night before tapering off Thursday morning.
CBS 2's Lonnie Quinn said New York City can expect about a dusting to an inch, while areas south and east of the city, including Long Island, could see mostly 1-2 inches and up to 3 inches in spots.
Another system that CBS 2's Quinn is keeping an eye on is one that current models show missing the area and moving out to the ocean.
That storm system could have implications for Saturday night into Sunday if it moves closer to the East Coast.
