Tri-State Area Soaked By Another Day Of Rain; Some Areas See Flooding
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Floodwaters inundated parts of the Tri-State Area Sunday as showers and storms passed through.
Slow-moving storms dropped heavy rains in some areas, and a flash flood watch was issued for the entire Tri-State Area for much of the day Sunday.

Late Sunday, a flash flood warning was newly issued for Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Hudson County, and parts of Bergen County.
A flash flood watch persisted for much of of central, northern and northeast New Jersey late Sunday.
Miller Air Park in New Jersey saw 5.59 inches of rain on Sunday, South Brunswick saw 5.41 inches, New Brunswick 4.9 inches, and Pine Beach and Whiting 3.5 inches, CBS2's Elise Finch reported.
Flooding was also seen in some areas of Staten Island, residential streets had turned into rivers. In Midland Beach, neighbors say floodwaters regularly remain stagnant for days after the rain.
Meanwhile, Island Beach State Park on the Jersey Shore was closed due to flash flooding late Sunday.
In Franklin Township, New Jersey, the Raritan River was above its banks.
In West Windsor, a state of emergency was in effect due to widespread flooding.
In the evening, the rain diminished in intensity and became spottier compared with Saturday and with Sunday morning. Scattered showers continued to develop with fog coming late.
Showers are likely Monday as well, with gradual clearing expected by Tuesday.
