NJ Transit, Amtrak Northeast Corridor Service Restored After Fire
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) --It was a complicated morning for many commuters trying to make their way from New Jersey to the Big Apple.
NJ Transit restored service between New York City and Trenton following a transformer fire early Tuesday in New Brunswick. While trains are rolling again, residual delays delays rippled across the system.
Midtown Direct and North Jersey Coast Line service into and out of Manhattan were restored.
Buses and PATH are cross honoring NJ Transit rail tickets.

Amtrak says service between New York and Philadelphia has been restored following the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
