Bakery Truck Driver Killed In Collision With LIRR Train
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - A bakery truck driver was killed by a Long Island Rail Road express train Tuesday morning.
Authorities say he was killed after driving through crossing gates.
One person aboard the train was hospitalized with a shoulder injury.
Service was suspended between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale after a train crashed into a vehicle on the tracks. The incident occurred just east of Deer Park, the MTA said.
Customers were advised to use the Huntington/Port Jefferson branch and the Babylon branch instead.
Bus service was provided.
