NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A track problem in one of the Hudson River tunnels caused some morning delays for commuters on Tuesday.
CHECK: Traffic & Transit Guide | On-Air: 1010 WINS | WCBS 880
New Jersey TRANSIT riders were faced with 20 to 30 minute delays in and out of New York Penn Station during the morning rush because of the track problem.
All Midtown Direct service had to be diverted to Hoboken, causing a 10 to 15 minute backup there.
No word on what caused the problem inside the tunnel. By about 7:45 a.m., service was running on or close to schedule.
