Tornado May Have Touched Down In Upstate N.Y. Sunday
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Already weary from Tropical Storm Irene, residents in an upstate New York town reportedly had to contend with a tornado Sunday.
An apparent funnel cloud was caught on tape in Montgomery County and the Town of Amsterdam, not far from Schenectady. There were no reports of serious injuries, but many buildings are said to be damaged.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said he's dispatched the state police and urban search and rescue teams to the area.
The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for the region Sunday, and weather service radar detected a funnel cloud at one point.
Weather teams will be on the ground Monday to confirm if in fact a twister touched down.
