Tom Brady: 'Losing Sucks, And Especially To The Jets'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tom Brady isn't used to this.
For the New England Patriots quarterback, there's losing -- and then there's losing to the rival New York Jets.
"Nobody feels worse about the loss than me," Brady said Monday on WEEI radio, after New England was upset 30-27 on Sunday to the aforementioned AFC East rivals. "Losing sucks, and especially to the Jets. I'm going to go out there and try to have my best week this week."
In one of the strangest endings you'll ever see, the Patriots -- whose run under Brady and coach Bill Belichick began with the little-known Tuck Rule -- were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct when Chris Jones pushed a teammate on the line of scrimmage in overtime, nullifying Jets kicker Nick Folk's missed 56-yard field goal attempt.

Instead of getting the football with great field position, Brady remained on the sidelines while Folk nailed his second try, this one from 42 yards out.
The penalty, new to the NFL and called for the first time Sunday, helped the Jets snap their six-game regular-season losing streak to New England.
"Yeah, I did know the rule," Brady said. "I didn't obviously see the play or see what they called. I still really haven't seen the replay. But it really shouldn't have come down to that."
Brady said inconsistency was the culprit as New England blew a 21-10 halftime lead.
"We had plenty of other opportunities in the game to score points and really widen the gap that we had on them at halftime," he said. "We sputtered in the third quarter and fought back in the fourth quarter and had some chances at the end, got the ball to start overtime. So, there's nobody to blame but ourselves."
The Jets (4-3) are one game behind the AFC East-leading Patriots (5-2).
New York will travel to Cincinnati in Week 8. New England is hosting Miami.
