Video Shows Man In Spider-Man Suit In Brawl In Front Of Times Square Toys 'R' Us
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A new viral video shows man dressed as Spider-Man trading punches with and rolling on the ground with another man amid a throng of onlookers in Times Square.
Geoff Golberg posted the clip to Twitter earlier Thursday. It shows the man in the Spider-Man costume and the other man, wearing black pants and a black shirt with white stripes on the back, in a knock-down, drag-out fight in front of the Times Square Toys 'R' Us, 1514 Broadway.

It was unclear what started the fight. But Golberg told DNAInfo that he saw the other man harassing several street performers before he got into the fight with the Spider-Man character.
Golberg's video credited the man in Spider-Man costume with "saving the day."
Other Spider-Men have also made headlines in Times Square – often not for flattering reasons.
One man was charged with slugging a police officer while dressed as Spider-Man in Times Square in July of last year after being told to stop hassling tourists for more money for taking photos with him. The charges were later dropped.
A Batman and a Spider-Man were also arrested in September of last year for getting into a fist fight with another man who began heckling the characters.
The two voiced opposing views at a City Council hearing on a new proposal to regulate costumed characters in Times Square, which would require they be licensed and pass background checks, CBS2's Diane Macedo reported in November 2014.
A third Spider-Man, Phillip Williams, was convicted in 2014 of of harassing a woman in a Times Square spat. Williams, 36, had been charged with punching a mother of two in the face after she refused to tip him for posing for a photograph with her children in February 2013.
