3 Charged In Death Of Broadway Costume Designer's Son
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Tears and confusion on Saturday night from the family of a teenage boy who was shot to death in an apparent robbery attempt got awry.
Jett Higham, 18, the son of a Broadway costume designer had been in Richmond, Va for six days when he was gunned down, allegedly over $4 and an iPhone.
"They said it was a robbery gone awry, it didn't feel like it went awry. They took their son, they took my brother, it feels like a very successful robbery to me," his sister Cosima said.
His father David called the shooting 'senseless'.
"This is another example of the senseless gun violence that goes on the streets of this country every single day," he said.
Three suspects have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
