Three Bridgeport Police Officers Off The Streets After Video Shows Alleged 2011 Beat Down, Investigation Underway
BRIDGEPORT, CT(CBSNewYork) -- Three police officers have been pulled off of the streets of Connecticut's largest city.
The move was prompted by a video which surfaced on Youtube that appears to show the officers kicking and stomping a man who had already been subdued by a stun gun.
The video shows, what looks like, two officers standing over a motionless man kicking him, a third officer joins them.
The officers have been placed on desk duty while the alleged incident, which took place in May of 2011, is investigated, according to Bridgeport City spokeswoman Elaine Ficarra.
Officers Elson Morales, Joseph Lawlor, and Clive Higgins, could not be reached for comment, they are all 10-year veterans.
