Thousands Of Cyclists Ride For MS Research Funding
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- New Yorkers took long rides to help cure a life-threatening illness.
Nearly 5,000 cyclists took the streets of Manhattan to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis.
The Bike MS New York City event kicked off from West 54th Street Sunday.
The cyclists pedaled for 30 miles on closed roads to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis, and in support of hundreds of programs and services organized by the Southern NY Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The outreach helps patients in the Big Apple, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties.
