Thousands Hit The Stores On Super Saturday
NEW YORK (CBS 2) – Last-minute shoppers are trying to check off their gift list in the last weekend before Christmas.
Thousands of shoppers headed out on Super Saturday taking advantage of deep discounts and special holiday promotions.
The day is considered the third busiest shopping day of the year. Some stores are even staying open 24/7 to accommodate shoppers.
Josette Trotman-Pitt was one of many shoppers at Toys R Us cashing in on the deals.
"I got these for my sons, and they're usually $17. I got them for $8. I love it. It's the best thing they ever did," she said.
The final 10 days leading up to Christmas account for nearly one-third of total sales for the holiday season, but retail experts said many people still have lots of shopping to get done.
