This Week: Lady Gaga Is Engaged & Jay Z Is Confused
This week, Mother Monster got engaged and a rap mogul got a little confused.
Mother Monster will soon be Wifey Monster with news this week that pop singer Lady Gaga got engaged to longtime boyfriend Taylor Kinney.
Gaga, 28, shared a photo on Instagram of her heart-shaped diamond ring. She captioned the photo with "He gave me his hear on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"
It appears that Jay Z doesn't quite know his MLB pitchers, which is a surprising fact seeing as how the rapper and media mogul owns a sports division on his Roc Nation label. Apparently, at a "Saturday Night Live 40" after party, the rapper mistook David Wells for Curt Schilling; all of this according to former pitcher David Cone.
"Funniest story of the afterparty was when Jay Z thought @BoomerWells33 was Curt Shilling and asked him about bloody sock," Cone tweeted.
The 87th Academy Awards are taking place on Sunday, meaning that anybody who's anybody will be at the event, holding their breath, waiting to see who wins in major categories like Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Original Song.
But it's the nominees for Best Picture that are probably the most anxious to see who will take away the top honor.
The Oscars will bring a close to a very fun and exciting awards season, and while things probably won't be as wild as Kanye West's stunt at the GRAMMYs, the Oscars have still had their fair share of crazy moments.
Kids are about to get a lot happier! According to Billboard, Pharrell Williams has signed a four-book deal with publisher Putnam books to turn his GRAMMY-award winning hit "Happy" into a series of children's picture books.
Being published on September 22, the book will feature photographs of children around the globe "celebrating what it means to be happy."
Even supermodels age. This week a social media frenzy occurred when unaltered photographs of supermodel Cindy Crawford were tweeted out by a British news anchor. The photographs, which were originally from a "Marie Clare" shoot, were taken more than a year ago but never published.
For its part, the magazine said of the photo, ""… it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous."
