The Pressure's On To Pressure Brady
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The pressure's on the New York Jets to make Tom Brady miserable next Monday night.
Big hits, rushed throws and forced mistakes are all in the defense's gameplan for their matchup in New England, with first place in the AFC East — and the conference's best record — on the line.
Rex Ryan knows throwing Brady off his game isn't easy, saying the Patriots quarterback has "no weakness." But, the Jets have done it before, including earlier this season, when they beat the Patriots at home.
The key again will be to get the pass rush, one of the weak spots for the league's No. 3 defense, going early. Brady has been protected well, though, having been sacked only twice in his last three games, and three times in his last five.
