TENAFLY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A Bergen County town is using incentives to get people to shop locally.
Spending in Tenafly now will be worth free money later.
The Tenafly Chamber of Commerce is running a special promotion, which rewards customers for shopping at Chamber businesses in June and July.

Those who make purchases can then turn in their receipts for a coupon to be used later.
"You take the Chamber Bucks that you're given for your receipts, 10 percent the value of the receipts, and you cash them in in August. You use them as cash," Christine Evron with the Chamber board told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell.
She said the program helps local businesses.
"Brings more traffic," she said. "We generally give away about $1,000."
The maximum coupon is $50 and must be used in August.
