Teen Star Justin Bieber To Appear In PSA As Part Of Plea Bargain
HEMPSTEAD, NY (CBSNewYork) - Justin Bieber's manager Scott Scooter Braun is off the hook for the November, 2009 fan frenzy at the Roosevelt Field Mall.

In a plea bargain, Bieber's record label, Island Def Jam Record Music Group (IDJ), and his management company, Remster 3 LLC, pleaded guilty to a fire violation.
Officials say the incident happened at a poorly organized promotional event for the teen pop star at the Roosevelt Field Mall when thousands of fans showed up to see the singer after reading a Tweet posted about the event on Bieber's Twitter page.
Braun's attorney Ravi Batra, says Bieber will appear in a public service announcement about cyber responsibility.
"What we've really done today is make justice sing a very pretty song," Batra told 1010 WINS' Kathleen Maloney. "What better person to reach out to the young people in our society than the number one star in the world?"
Batra said Bieber is looking forward to making the PSA.

"This public service announcement will be a valuable tool for parents, educators, and law enforcement efforts to combat cyber-bullying and sexting, while encouraging young people to use the internet responsibly," Nassau County district attorney Kathleen Rice said in a statement.
The DA says this is one of the first cases in the state to a hold a defendant from outside the county responsible for conduct on a social media website that effected what happened inside the county.
