Teen Missing From Rye Found Safe In NYC, Returned Home To Family
RYE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 15-year-old boy from Rye who has been missing since Friday has been found.
Pierce Crowley was spotted walking with some other kids in Washington Heights by a NYPD officer early Thursday morning. Police in New York City contacted White Plains police who then returned the teen to his parents.
Hundreds of volunteers have been searching for Crowley after the Iona Prep freshman went missing on Friday.
Friends and family helped spread the word about the 15-year-old's disappearance through social media. The family also set up a Facebook page and email account where the public could submit tips and was offering a reward for his safe return.
His mother, Gretchen Crowley, told 1010 WINS that her son is tired, but otherwise in good condition.
