Brooklyn Islamic Center Vandalized, NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force Investigating
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for the vandals who spray-painted hateful messages outside an Islamic center in Brooklyn.
A sign with "Love Not Hate" was taped over the offensive graffiti left on the front wall of the Tayba Islamic Center.
It happened early Thursday morning on the holy day of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.
The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
