Talk About A Bad Night! Yankees Team Bus Crashes Into Gate Outside Fenway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Yankees just can't catch a break these days.
It's panic time -- among fans, at least -- with the Bombers' once-comfortable lead in the AL East again whittled down to zilch.
And now the bumbling and stumbling has followed the club off the field.
After New York's crushing 4-3 loss on Tuesday night in Boston, the Yankees' team bus hit a gate outside Fenway Park and shattered one of its side windows.
Bystander Jesse Waites tweeted details and a picture of the damage. It was later confirmed by NESN, TV home of the Red Sox.
There were no injuries, according to the New York Post.
The "EE" in YANKEE -- for the aptly named Yankee Line charter company -- is visible in Waites' pic. Compare it to the team bus below, in happier times:
