HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A suspected serial cat burglar is no longer prowling the streets of Suffolk County.
Errol D. Barham Jr., 22, of Copiague, is accused of six burglaries and one attempted break-in in Lindenhurst, District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
Barham is also suspected of at least 10 other burglaries on the South Shore, authorities said.

Barham allegedly carried out the burglaries between midnight and 4 a.m. while the homeowners were asleep, police said.
Jewelry, cameras, laptops, an I-pad, credit cards, cash and other stolen goods were recovered by law enforcement from a local pawnshop and during a search of Barham's home at 299 42nd Street, authorities said.
"This is a very prolific cat burglar," Spota said. "A man who was terrorizing communities."
Barham was arrested Sunday. He is charged with six counts of burglary in the second degree, one count of attempted burglary in the second degree and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
He is being held on $70,000 cash bail.
