Suspect Wanted In Bank Robberies In Brooklyn, The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Sunday were asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with two bank robberies in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx.
The first robbery happened on Jan. 22 at 11:18 a.m., at the Carver Federal Savings Bank at 4 Hanson Pl. in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The second happened Jan. 28 at 12:33 p.m. at the Banco Popular at 2923 Third Ave. in the South Bronx, and the third happened that same day at 2:21 p.m. at the Investors Bank at 399 Atlantic Ave. in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
Police said the robber passed a note to the teller demanding money in all the robberies.
The suspect only made off with money in the Fort Greene incident. In the other two incidents, he left without cash.
The robber is described as a white male between the ages of 30 and 40, standing 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds, with a scar or laceration over his left eye.
Police have released a surveillance photo.
