Off-Duty Cop Stops Attempted Robbery At Brooklyn Salon
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- An off-duty police officer is being credited with stopping a robbery at a Bed-Stuy beauty salon.
Police say a suspect walked into the salon on Franklin Avenue in Clinton just after 6 p.m. demanding cash.
The officer, who was getting her hair done, identified herself as a cop. The suspect then fired in her direction. She returned fire, forcing him to flee the scene.
The officer was not hurt, and it is unclear if the suspect was hit. No one was injured at the salon.
So far, no arrests have been made.
