Suspect Charged With Murder In Connection With Fatal Brooklyn Crash
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the stabbing of a driver who lost control of his SUV before hitting and killing a 13-year-old girl.
Police say 51-year-old Kenneth Risher has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Back in July, police say he stabbed 44-year-old Sean Lewis during an argument on Pacific Street in Brooklyn.
Moments later, Lewis was driving his SUV on Pacific Street near Saratoga Avenue when he lost control.
Lewis' Range Rover hit three parked cars, backed into another and then flipped, landing on top of 13-year-old girl Kirra Goddard.
Kirra's mother said the 13-year-old yelled for her sisters and friends to get out of the way of Lewis' SUV, but Kirra couldn't escape in time.
Lewis died at Brookdale Hospital. It was there that doctors discovered he had been stabbed in the torso.
Risher turned himself in to police on Wednesday.
