'Super Storm' Ride Opens At Casino Pier In Seaside Heights
SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - 'Super Storm' the ride is now up and running on the New Jersey shore.
The new attraction is located at the Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, where Superstorm Sandy is best known for toppling a roller coaster into the ocean.
Fifteen rides are operating at the Casino Pier, with three more scheduled to open before Labor Day.
Casino Pier reopened late last month.
'Super Storm' riders sit in a circle extended from a pendulum arm that spins around and goes upside down.
The upper deck of Casino Pier, where the Jet Star roller coaster once sat, has not yet been rebuilt.
The iconic Jet Star coaster was taken apart and removed from the Atlantic in May.
