Seahawks, Patriots, Steelers Have Best Odds To Win Super Bowl LI
LAS VEGAS (CBSNewYork) -- If the Vegas oddsmakers are right, neither the Denver Broncos nor the Carolina Panthers will return to the Super Bowl next year.
Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has released its odds for teams to win Super Bowl LI -- yes, we're going back to the Roman numeral thing.
There's a three-way tie for the favorite between the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. All are 8-to-1.
If that scenario actually played out, the Seahawks, from the NFC, would face either the Patriots or Steelers, from the AFC, in the Super Bowl.
The newly crowned champion Denver Broncos and runner-up Carolina Panthers are both at 12-to-1, tied for the sixth-best odds.
The Jets, who went to 10-6 last season but missed the playoffs, have 30-to-1 odds, while the Giants, 6-10 in 2015, are 40-to-1.
The biggest long shot is the Cleveland Browns, at 200-to-1.
If you're wondering how accurate Westgate was this past season: A year ago, the Seahawks (5-to-1) and Patriots (6-to-1) had the best odds, while the Broncos were 8-to-1 (fourth best) and the Panthers were 30-to-1 (tied for 16th).
