Suffolk Co. Man Gets 25-To-Life In Fatal Police Chase

John Licausi was sentenced Thursday in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead.
He was convicted in June of aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter, driving while impaired and other charges in the 2008 crash.
Police say Licausi took off while being questioned in an unrelated case. He ran two red lights before crashing into 46-year-old Scott Foster's car in Medford. Foster, of Manorville, died a short time later.
District Attorney Thomas Spota sought a stiff sentence because Licausi has prior convictions for burglary, possession of stolen property and forgery.
