Suffolk County Preserving Land For Future Generations
LAKE GROVE, NY (WCBS 880) -- Suffolk County is making sure land is being preserved for future generations.
In the last 50 years, Suffolk County has preserved 58,000 acres of land through the Open Space Program.
"The purchase of open space is a great investment because it protects the groundwater, it's good for the soul and it's great for tourism which is a billion dollar industry here in Suffolk County," said County Executive Steve Levy.
