Suffolk County Police Looking For Northport Bank Robbery Suspect
NORTHPORT, NY (CBSNewYork) — Police in Suffolk County are looking for a bank robbery suspect who they say robbed a Chase Bank Tuesday evening.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Chase Bank on Fort Salonga Road in Northport.
Police say a man walked into the bank with a handgun, walked up to a teller and demanded money.
He took off with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen on foot going through the parking lot.
Police say the suspect is a heavy-set man in his 50s to 60s who was wearing a blue baseball hat, sunglasses, an aqua-blue shirt and jeans and was carrying a black and blue backpack at the time of the robbery.
