Suffolk County Man Accused of Stealing His Son's Identity

(WCBS 880) - A 47-year-old father is accused of stealing his 27-year-old son's identity.
Suffolk County Police say that, for 15 years, Ricky Lynch, Sr. of Freeport used his son's Social Security information to obtain loans cash checks and apparently get a driver's license.
The Long Island man was finally caught after authorities say Ricky, Jr. went to police saying that his driver's license had been suspended because of a number of traffic violations.
But Ricky, Jr did not receive any violations. It turns out it was the father Ricky, Sr.
All together, detectives believe the father used the false information to received $78,000 in loans.
