Water Main Break Sends Jet Shooting 40-Foot Into Air In Suffern
SUFFERN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 40-foot geyser erupted in the middle of a Rockland County road Thursday afternoon when a water main ruptured.
Around 3 p.m., the water was shooting into the air in the middle of busy Route 202 at Chestnut Street, CBS2 reported.
Police told CBS2 the water main break also initially sent a manhole cover flying through the air.
Water to the area was shut off for repairs late Thursday.
