Subway Crew Suspended In Open-Door Incident
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Metropolitan Transportation Authority said it suspended crew members from an elevated subway train that opened its doors before all the cars had pulled into the platform.
No passengers stepped out.
MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz told the Wall Street Journal that the conductor and the operator of the Brooklyn-bound M train have been suspended with pay while the MTA investigates.
A video taken by a passenger when the doors opened showed a narrow walkway beneath the tracks and the street below.
