Strong Support For Boston At Expo In Advance Of 5 Boro Bike Tour
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A bike expo was held Friday and Saturday in advance of the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, and plenty of people were making a point of showing support for Boston.
As WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reported, some people at Bike Expo New York solicited donations for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, while others took a blue and yellow sticker reading, "I Ride for Boston."

Donald Olenick was among those who took a sticker.
"I wanted to help out the people from Boston," Olenick said. "I feel they need our support and they need our help."
A suggested contribution of $5 was requested for the stickers. All proceeds will go to The One Fund Boston.
Meanwhile, the Boston Marathon bombings meant tighter security for the Five Boro Bike Tour, set for Sunday. No backpacks, saddle bags or hydration systems will be permitted.
Participant Michelle Plachinski said she thought the rule makes sense.
"Me personally I'm not worried," she said. "But I think it's smart and important to take that extra step, because the world is getting crazier and crazier every day."
The event draws more than 32,000 bike riders, who will only be able to use small fanny packs, water bottles and bike frame bags.
The finish festival on Staten Island will now be limited only to participants and volunteers.
The bike tour has also called off the pyrotechnics that usually mark the starting line.
