Storm Related Traffic & Transit Service Changes, Delays
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Here's a look at transit and traffic-related changes related to the snow & ice storm:
HIGHWAYS:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo implemented a full vehicle ban on Interstate 84 between the Connecticut and Pennsylvania borders for about 6 hours. The ban was lifted around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon.
TRAINS:
The ice and snow has caused major train delays.

Signal problems disrupted sections of the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 lines Wednesday, but MTA officials said around noon that the subway was again running on its normal schedule.
New York City buses will run at 85 to 90 percent capacity during the Wednesday evening rush hour
The MTA also cautions commuters to be careful on train platforms and stairs.

Metro-North will operate 75 percent of its normal evening rush hour schedule across all lines.
The railroad will run hourly service beginning at 9 p.m. and should return to its normal schedule by Thursday's morning rush.

NJ TRANSIT is operating on an enhanced scheduled Wednesday with cross-honoring of bus and rail tickets because of the weather.

FLIGHTS:
Hundreds of flights have been canceled at New York City's area airports due to snow and freezing rain.
FlightAware reports more than 50 percent of flights canceled at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Over 40 percent have been canceled at LaGuardia Airport and 36 percent at John F. Kennedy Airport.
Passengers are advised to check with their airline before heading out to the airport.
