Stop-And-Frisk Trial Against NYPD Enters Seventh Week
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Monday marked the start of the seventh week in the federal trial against the New York City Police Department and its stop-and-frisk tactics.
Testifying for the NYPD in defense of stop-and-frisk tactics in the 40th Precinct in the Bronx were three sergeants who had supervised the supposedly disgruntled cop who secretly taped roll calls - roll calls where quotas were demanded.
Five, five, and five was the code for five summonses, five arrests, and five stop-and-frisks.

The three supervisors testified that they had never heard or spoke of quotas and never punished officers who failed to meet a certain level of activity.
But none had much to say about officer Pedro Serrano, who did the taping.
Sgt. Eduardo Silva described him as an average cop, who was always looking to him to make decisions for him.
