Steel Delivered To Fairview, NJ For 9/11 Memorial
FAIRVIEW, NJ (CBS 2) -- There was a special delivery in Fairview, New Jersey on Thursday.
Steel draped with a U.S. flag was escorted by emergency vehicles into the town.
The steel arrived just before a groundbreaking ceremony for a 9/11 memorial.
TD Bank will lease land back to the city for just $1 for the next 99 years.
The memorial will be a tribute to Fairview residents who lost their lives in the terror attacks.
"This park will be a reminder and a place for those families to come each and every day to remember their loved ones," said Frank Delvecchio with the Fairview Police Department.
The memorial will also include a monument to Fairview police officers killed in the line of duty.
