NY Residents With Ties To Ebola-Stricken Areas Of West Africa Concerned For Family

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Ebola outbreak has hit close to home for some Staten Islanders.

Residents, some from Liberia and others from neighboring Sierra Leone, said they're concerned about family members in their home countries, CBS 2 reported.

"I just spoke to my parents. She was screaming, crying that she don't know what to do -- she just pray, pray, pray," said Sierra Leone native Francis Kamara.

Meanwhile, a second possible case of Ebola is being investigated in the United States.

Health officials quarantined a man at Howard University Hospital in Washington after he showed Ebola-like symptoms.

The first U.S. Ebola patient, Thomas Duncan, remains in a hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Crews decontaminated the apartment where Duncan stayed before getting sick.

The family in the apartment with him has moved to a new location.

A U.S. cameraman who was diagnosed with Ebola in Liberia is being flown to Nebraska on Sunday to begin medical treatment.
