Staten Island Free Toy Store Open For Business
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You can't beat this price.
For the fifth year in a row, a Staten Island nonprofit is opening a holiday toy store where everything is free.
The Christmas after Superstorm Sandy there were thousands of Staten Islanders out of their homes facing mounting bills.
Where to Turn gave out 15,000 toys for free and founder Dennis McKeon says there's still a need.
"Somebody loses their job or somebody has health problems, can't work and money is tight," McKeon said.
For struggling families, the toy store helps reduce anxiety for parents and kids.

"No child should be denied getting toys for the holiday season," McKeon said. "We offer two toys per child with a maximum of six per family."
McKeon expects between 500 and 750 families to visit the store.
The toy store at 22 Brienna Court will be open Dec. 10 and 17.
Donations are still welcome.
