State Street, Financial Firm Behind Fearless Girl Statue, Closing NYC Offices
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A major financial firm that gave the world a symbol of female empowerment is closing up its offices in New York City.
State Street, one of the world's largest asset managers, says it's closing both of its locations in Rockefeller Center.
The company is behind the Fearless Girl statue located outside the New York Stock Exchange.
The 500 affected employees will instead work form home, from new shared workspaces in Manhattan and from offices in New Jersey and Connecticut.
