Sen. Greg Ball stopped by the Peekskill DMV on Thursday throwing his support behind the Fraud Tax Bill.
The bill would increase penalites for those who stage accidents and then submit fake medical bills, taking advantage of New York's no fault system. It would also decertify medical providers who committ insurance fraud.
"The bill that we have, it'll take New York State where we need to go to make sure that we are no longer one in all the wrong ways," said Sen. Ball. "The bill that we have has bipartisan support."
