Sree Tips: Favorite Apps From Viewers
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - With millions of apps to choose from, it's hard to keep up with ones worth trying.
So once again, we asked you on our Facebook page and on Twitter to suggest your favorite apps. We got lots of great suggestions.
Sree Sreenivasan, tech expert from our partner network CNET and Columbia University's chief digital officer - stopped by with some of yours worth noting.
The first app was suggested by Ashley Jeanne. It's called Songza and it's free for iPhone and Android. She says it's nearly psychic, picking music based on the situation and time of day. There no audio ads and it's made in NYC.
The next was suggested by Doug C. and it's called MyNetDiary, which is free for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry. This is a weight loss diary and calorie counter.
The next was suggested by Stefan Damm and it's called Runtastic, which is free for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry. This is an app that uses GPS to track runs, walks, cycling. Use it while we have this summer like weather!
